CalendTree on Web and iPhone

How your account works across the web dashboard and the iOS app, and where the two differ.

CalendTree on Web and iPhone

Your CalendTree account is the same account everywhere — sign in with the same email (or Apple/Google account) on the web dashboard at calendtree.com and in the iPhone app, and your clients, bookings, invoices, and documents stay in sync automatically.

What works the same on both

  • Bookings, clients, organizations, invoices, quotes, proposals, and contracts
  • Payments and balances (Square-connected)
  • Mileage trip history and year-to-date totals
  • To-dos, time tracking, and projects
  • Calendar sync settings and Google/Zoom connections

What's currently web-only

A few power-user tools live on the web dashboard for now:

  • Scheduling Links (a second, calendar-first booking link type, up to 4 per account)
  • Building Questionnaires and reviewing responses
  • The Booking Page's embed code for adding your booking widget to Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, or any site
  • The Project Pipeline kanban board, Reports, and the Workers/Payroll hub

You can still view and act on data these tools create — a questionnaire response or a scheduling-link booking — from the iPhone app, even though building/editing those tools happens on the web.

What's different on iPhone

  • In-person payments use a connected Square card reader. (Apple's Tap to Pay on iPhone is not currently available in CalendTree.)
  • The app can automatically detect drives in the background for mileage tracking using your phone's location and motion sensors — something a browser can't do.
  • Changes you make offline (a spotty connection, airplane mode, a dead zone) are saved on your phone and sync automatically once you're back online — see Offline Mode on iPhone.
  • Your calendar can sync directly with the Apple Calendar app in addition to Google Calendar.

Keeping both up to date

There's nothing to manually sync — as soon as either the app or the dashboard has a connection, your changes push through. If a change can't be saved after several attempts (for example, a payment logged while your phone had no signal for an extended period), you'll get a notification telling you so rather than it silently failing.
